This umbrella was born from the desire to prioritize high-quality fabric for a plain and simple design. The double sided weave makes opening the umbrella on a rainy day a joyous little moment.As fabric for the canopy the kohaba (小巾) techinque is used, wich allows for minimal distortion and results in a dense, premium material. This technique involves manual work and requires a skill developed over many years. The fabric is approximately half the width of a regular large loom, and it takes nearly twice as long to weave one bolt compared to a large loom.
